In the testing times with the credit crunch, rising fuel prices and extensive laying off of staff, the last thing any driver needs is high costs for his or her HGV medical. These medicals are essential for both the safety of the driver and other road users and have to be conducted to the strictest of regulations laid down by the DVLA.
The costs of these medicals vary tremendously with some doctors charging as high as £170 per test.
We recognise that this pricing is simply not justifiable, especially in the current climate where every little helps. Therefore, as part of our commitment to hard working drivers in the country, we have reduced our medical fee to £45.00 per test (no VAT is payable). As a further commitment to www.transportcafe.co.uk any driver booking a medical via www.transportcafe.co.uk will be charged only £40.00. Please quote JSTC0908 when booking.
We open surgeries specifically for driver medicals one weekday every week from 7pm to 9pm. Any drivers from out of the area are welcome. Please try to bring your own D4 form available by clicking here.
